Affordable Sustainable Housing Program
In 2018, Rubies House successfully launched a newly developed program named “Affordable Sustainable Housing Program” (ASHP) as part of our vision to produce sustainable housing at an affordable price and address the housing needs of vulnerable and lower income families and individuals of South Australia who have no hope of purchasing their own home.
Such an achievement could not have been done without a year work of delegated research team and the continued support given to us through long hours of technical discussions with people from different sectors of the industry, academic world, community leaders and those politicians who have found the housing challenge of vulnerable and low-income people quite realistic.
Please note that there are terms and conditions applicable to determine the eligibility for ASHP. The applicant must be recognised as lower incomes described by “Notice in the Government Gazette under the South Australian Housing Trust Regulations 2010”.
The eligible applicants will be shortlisted and referred to the financial body who will consider the loan applications for ASHP and whom Centrelink benefits are their source of income. For example, Veteran Affairs pensions, Disability Support Pensions, Carer Payments in some circumstances, etc.
